Double degree (cotutelle) students of CEITEC BUT and FunGlass

Erik Ščasnovič and Marek Rotter passed the entrance exams to the Alexander Dubček University in Trenčín.

On 15 December 2023, CEITEC BUT students Erik Ščasnovič and Marek Rotter reached an important milestone by successfully passing the entrance exams to the Alexander Dubček University in Trenčín. This achievement marks a groundbreaking moment as they become the first PhD students to engage in cotutelle studies based on an agreement between CEITEC BUT and FunGlass (TnUAD).

Under the joint guidance of esteemed professors Karel Maca, Dr. and Dušan Galusek, DrSc., and associate professors: Václav Pouchlý, Ph.D. and Róbert Klement, Ph.D., Erik and Marek will embark on their doctoral journey, dedicating themselves to in-depth scientific research in their chosen fields. Their focus will culminate in the pursuit of a double doctorate, achieved through a joint defence of their dissertations. This pioneering endeavour reflects the spirit of academic collaboration and excellence between CEITEC BUT and FunGlass, and fosters a promising future for these budding scientists.
