GlaCerHub Consortia Held Productive Hub Board Meeting

On February 4, 2025, the representatives of the GlaCerHub consortia met online for the latest Hub Board meeting. The session provided an opportunity to review the project's progress over the past six months and outline the next steps.

Andrea Chrastinová, the project manager, shared updates on staffing, including the appointment of the Hub Innovation Chair and other key positions within the GlaCerHub initiative. She also highlighted upcoming tasks and deliverables essential to the project's continued success.

David Salamon, the newly appointed Hub Innovation Chair, presented his vision for a long-term research and innovation strategy. His approach emphasizes alignment with local, regional, and European strategic priorities while focusing on research activities, R&D infrastructure development, and investment planning.

A key topic of discussion was the launch of the GlaCerHub Training Programme, which kicked off with its first event in early February. Peter Hošták, the Hub Office Manager, provided a comprehensive overview of the program's structure, individual events, and proposed timeline. As one of the project's fundamental pillars, the Training Programme aims to equip stakeholders from the quadruple helix model with essential skills and competencies.

Mrs. Canetti, a Hub Board member, underscored the importance of leveraging the Technology Transfer platform. She highlighted its role in evaluating and prioritizing research opportunities, ensuring that relevant projects receive the necessary funding, development support, and collaboration with industrial and institutional partners.

Blahomír Skoupý informed the consortium about the communication and exploitation activities undertaken to promote the GlaCerHub project.

The meeting served as a valuable forum for exchanging ideas and reinforcing the strategic direction of GlaCerHub. With fresh insights and actionable plans, the project is well-positioned for continued growth and impact in the research and innovation landscape.
