GlaCerHub scientist makes significant impact at the 2nd National Thermal Spray Conference in India

On February 21-23, 2025, GlaCerHub researcher and CEITEC research group leader Assoc. Prof. Ladislav Čelko, Ph.D., along with CEITEC colleague Ing. Serhii Tkachenko, Ph.D., participated in the 2nd National Thermal Spray Conference (NTSC2025) hosted by the prestigious CSIR-Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology in Bhubaneswar, India.

Assoc. Prof. Čelko delivered a well-received plenary speech titled "Understanding the Role of Angle (Ascent and Descent), Chamfer and Fillet in Thermal Spray Projection," which generated significant interest and discussion among attendees.

Dr. Tkachenko presented his research on "Microstructural and Electrical Insulation Features of Atmospheric Plasma Sprayed Alumina Coatings Produced by Using Different Torches."

The conference served as an exceptional platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration in thermal spray technology. Assoc. Prof. Celko successfully promoted GlaCerHub activities and established potential collaborations with prominent scientists from India, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Special appreciation goes to the organizers—Satish Tailor, Ph.D., Dr. Sisir Mantry, and Prof. Harpreet Singh—for arranging an engaging program and facilitating valuable interactions with distinguished participants from academia, research, and industry.

Notable attendees included Christopher Berndt, Prof. Tanvir Hussain FASM, Komal Laul, Shrikant Joshi, Ph.D., Nicholas Curry, Stefan Björklund, Dr. S. Rangaswamy, Dr.-Ing. Konstantin von Niessen, Dr. Sascha Bernhardt, Jean-Nicolas Robert, MBA, Asst. Prof. Ashish Ganvir, and many others.

The team looks forward to participating in future NTSC conferences.
