Excellent event by FunGlass Centre.
From 10 to 12 June, the FunGlass Centre hosted its bi-annual FunGlass School seminars at the elegant Chateau Appony in Oponice, Slovakia.
This historic former renaissance mansion provided a stunning backdrop for over 80 participants to share the latest scientific topics.
The event kicked off with an inspiring opening speech by the FunGlass Centre's Director, Dušan Galusek, which set the tone for the sessions to follow.
Over the course of the three-day seminar, participants were treated to a series of 48 insightful presentations and dynamic team-building activities. Of particular note were two presentations by GlaCerHub double-degree students: Erik Ščasnovič – discussed "Sintering Activation Energy of Entropically Stabilised Oxide (Mg, Co, Cu, Ni, Zn)O", while Marek Rotter presented "Preparation of Single-Phase High Entropy Ceramic for Further Modification: Comparison of Different Sintering Processes".
Adding to the excitement of the event were special guest speakers Andrea dé Camargo from the University of Jena and BAM, Berlin, Jesús Purroy from the Inveniam Group and Zuzana Reptová from the Slovak Centre for Scientific and Technical Information.
The combination of cutting-edge presentations, expert insights and collaborative activities made this year's FunGlass School an unforgettable experience.
