Innovation Leadership at FunGlass
The prestigious position of GlaCerHub Innovation Chair at the FunGlass Centre has been appointed to Assoc. Prof. David Salamon, PhD. A distinguished scientist in the field of ceramics and advanced processing methods, David is also the co-founder of the spin-off company TriCera. His expertise, experience, and extensive international network will be invaluable to the future of GlaCerHub.
The Hub Innovation Chair will provide leadership in the preparation and execution of high-stakes disruptive innovation concepts, successfully converting basic research into commercially viable results. As a key member of the FunGlass centre and CEITEC BUT GlaCerHub management team, Assoc. Prof. David Salamon, PhD. will mentor Business Development Officers and researchers, coordinate industry partnerships, and drive the creation of new job opportunities.
A crucial aspect of the role is fostering trust in innovation by engaging with local producers, enhancing existing markets, and contributing to a world-leading research and business ecosystem. Additionally, the Innovation Chair will provide support in development of talent management strategies, including research programmes and industrial placements, ensuring the hub’s long-term sustainability and impact.
Business Development at CEITEC BUT
We are also pleased to introduce Ing. Josef Polena, who has joined CEITEC BUT as a Business Development Officer. A graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at BUT, Josef has extensive experience in ceramics development and sales. He will be responsible for technology transfer and fostering academia-industry collaborations within GlaCerHub.
Business Development at FunGlass Centre
Ing. Stanislav Fečko strengthens our HubOffice team as a Business Development Officer role at FunGlass Centre. Adding his valuable skills from pharmaceutical industry working internationally as a CQV Engineer enhanced by his strong background in the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU in Bratislava. He will be also responsible for technology transfer and FunGlass-industry collaborations within GlaCerGub.
